In keeping with my love of folklore, I next wish to offer you a perusal of a few sites where a vast wealth of literature, legends, folklore and children's literature can be found. These sites offer an abundance of ethnically diverse stories, including tales from ireland, africa and native american legends. No collection of folk literature would be complete, without tales from the Brothers Grim, to which you will find a link below.

This first site is primarily dedicated to introducing children to folklore, and I find it to be a most admirable project indeed. Children are our future, and I am whole heartedly in support of giving them a knowledge of the myths and legends of our ancestors.

This next site is devoted to multi-cultural spirituality, and so much of a society's spirituality is expressed in its myths and legends. I find this to be an especially interesting site, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I.

  • Click here to explore the Sacred Text Project.

This next series of links will take you to a veritable library of fairytales, because each individual link accesses a huge collection of stories. The story collections come either in text or zip format, and you'll need to download them. Due to the efforts of the Project Gutenberg, practically all of the classics have been scanned and presented in vanilla text. They have been going strong ever since 1971, preserving classic literature electronically for the generations to come.

  • A collection of tales by Hans Christian Andersen

These next two sites are dedicated to celtic folklore, and I promise you'll find them to contain a tremendous amount of tales, many of which date back almost into antiquity.

As an avid fan of H. P. Lovecraft, I simply must present this site for your reading pleasure. If you have never read Lovecraft, you are about to discover something truly awesome and highly entertaining. To my notion, Lovecraft is one of the finest authors who ever lived.

  • The H. P. Lovecraft Library

Baen.com is another fine site containing sample works from modern authors. I felt I should include the Baen site here, because they have some truly excellent authors contributing to their repository of modern literature.

  • Titles Index

This site provides a bit of history and literature which you might enjoy. Europeans in America affords one a glimpse of the historical and literary transition from the old world to the new.
